Jamie Schimmel is Vice President, Clinical Research Operations at IMA Clinical Research. Jamie is an industry veteran bringing more than 25 years of medical and clinical research experience to his role. He combined his love of medicine and research as a study coordinator at Eastern Virginia Medical School in the late 1990s. Since then, Jamie has held various positions in increasing responsibility in both pharma and CROs as a data analyst, clinical research monitor, project manager, program director, and strategic account director. His roles at CROs involved executive oversight of large portfolios of clinical research programs and several years managing real-world evidence programs. He has a wide variety of therapeutic experience throughout Phase I-IV clinical trials, led the rapid growth of multiple operational teams, spearheaded the development of a strategic accounts team, driven the development of interventional real world research capabilities at a CRO, and supported the integration of multiple acquired companies into a large CRO. Jamie holds a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) with a concentration in healthcare management and finance from NYU and a BS in Biology from Binghamton University.
