Julia Spears, C.C.R.C. joined the Department of Neurology at the (then) Medical College of Ohio in 2003 as a clinical research coordinator for the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Program. In 2004, Julia developed and filled the position of Research Administrator for the (now) Gardner-McMaster Parkinson Center Clinical Trial Research Program. In her role as administrator, she is responsible for contract and budget development, accounts receivable/payable, staff training and development, data quality and assurance, and regulatory compliance. Julia has been credentialed as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through ACRP since 2007. She is also an active member of both MAGI and SCRS, participating in national conferences as a speaker, moderator, and session chair. Other national affiliations include the Parkinson’s Study Group and the Huntington’s Study group wherein she serves as chair of the budget committee, a member of the credentialling committee, and co-director of the Coordinator Education Council.
