MHA, MBA, Patient Advocacy Ambassador
Parexel
As an internal subject matter expert of the patient and caregiver voice at Parexel, Stacy bridges the industry/consumer gap as a stage IV cancer survivor and 24/7 caregiver to her son with a rare disease. Her unique professional and personal experience position her as an esteemed global patient advocate as well as an influential pioneer in Patient Engagement. In her role as Patient Advocacy Ambassador, the first of its kind for a CRO, Stacy commands a seat at the table on behalf of patients and caregivers to examine and reduce patient burden thus increasing participation and retention along the clinical trial patient odyssey. Mindful of her son’s profound apparent disabilities and her own non-apparent disabilities as a result of cancer treatment, Stacy champions accessibility to clinical research through expanding the definition of diversity to ensure that those of different abilities have an equitable chance at better treatments, improved outcomes, and cures. Stacy holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from University of Pittsburgh.
