Beyond Awareness: Building Cultural Competency

ANZ sites serve some of the most culturally diverse patient populations in the world, including Māori, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Pacific communities. Sites that invest in cultural competency are seeing it pay off: stronger community trust, more representative recruitment, and research that reflects the people it’s designed to serve. This panel brings together practitioners who do this work well, sharing how sites of all sizes can embed cultural competency in hiring, training, and community engagement.
