Rita Cunha de Eça is the Head of Clinical Research Center and Deputy Director of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, a company that belongs to the largest private healthcare group in Portugal. She works in the healthcare sector for 16 years, having started at Hospital da Luz Lisboa. Rita had the privilege of being part of the development of a research center from the beginning, in 2010, going through several roles such as coordinating trials, managing contracts, defining and writing processes, organizing and training a team. Her main functions are managing a team, hiring and providing training, presenting results in this area from the group’s various health units, managing quality, solving problems and finding improvement strategies. Rita has a degree in clinical psychology from ISPA – Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida, and a master’s degree in clinical research management (MEGIC) from Nova Medical School. She is part of the Research Committee of the Luz Saúde group.
