SCRS Eagle Award
The Industry’s Leading Tool for Improved Site Partnerships
About The Award
For more than a decade, the SCRS Eagle Award has been the clinical research industry’s leading tool for improving sponsor and CRO relationships with sites. Built entirely on the honest, direct experiences of clinical research sites, it evaluates the dimensions that define what great partnerships actually look like — across leadership, professionalism, integrity, and dedication to advancing clinical research.
The results do more than recognize exceptional performers. They inform organizational improvements, give the industry the intelligence it needs to operate better, and strengthen the symbiotic relationship between sites and their partners that sits at the heart of every successful trial. Because when that relationship works, the person who benefits most is the patient.

Judging Criteria & Voting Process
Each year, research sites evaluate their sponsor and CRO partners across the dimensions that matter most to site operations: timely payments, communication quality, contracting efficiency, enrollment support, and more. Organizational performance is reviewed across all categories, with an emphasis on high scores and demonstrated impact on site sustainability. Each category includes qualitative feedback from sites — giving sponsors and CROs not just a score, but context behind it.
New in 2026: Sites will identify active study therapeutic areas (TA) and share performance feedback linked to those relationships. Demographics also include site type, giving the industry a more actionable picture of where performance gaps exist.
SCRS Members: Your responses carry additional weight in the 2026 Eagle Award scoring model. Your experience as an active member of the global site community is formally recognized in how results are calculated.

2026 Voting
Voting Process
Clinical research sites from around the world are invited to evaluate sponsors and CROs they have worked with in the past 12 months. Sites will score sponsor and CRO performance across multiple categories.
One sponsor and one CRO that consistently receive top marks across the categories will be selected as the award recipients.
For Sponsors & CROs
The Eagle Award is the clinical research industry’s leading tool for improving sponsor and CRO relationships with sites. Research sites across the globe evaluate their active study partnerships, sharing honest assessments of how well your organization delivered across financial operations, engagement, and operational execution.
The survey covers active working relationships from the past year, scored across eight categories: Business Development, Budgeting, Contracts, Payments, Communication, Advocacy, Study Startup & Planning, Patient Approach, and Technology.
Sites will link their evaluations to specific therapeutic areas and site types, giving the dataset its most granular view yet.
Accessing Results
Results will be announced at the SCRS Global Site Solutions Summit and an executive summary will be distributed to all SCRS members and Global Impact Partners.
Additional Insights
In the year ahead, sponsors and CROs will also be able to invest in deeper site intelligence reports — covering areas of exceptionality, areas of need, and how your organization’s scoring compares against peer groups.
