Throughout my career with Systems Integrators, I have effectively served as the IT Manager and CIO for dozens of organisations that have outsourced their ICT projects and support. I believe that understanding an organisations’ purpose is crucial to delivering technical solutions that truly meet organisational needs. With 30 years in the technology sector, I’ve observed a significant shift in how organisations view IT; from transactional relationships to genuine business partnerships. By bridging technical expertise with a genuine desire to understand the business needs, I strive to demonstrate that technology can empower both the business and its individuals to maximise efficiency and performance. In my current role as the IT Business Partner for our Human Research Ethics Committee, I have transitioned our business solutions to secure, multi-factor authenticated cloud-based platforms with robust disaster recovery options. I’ve also streamlined our day-to-day HREC operations by leveraging our rich data sources to enhance all aspects of our business processes.
