Andrew Ustianowski

Professor Andrew Ustianowski is the interim National Executive Director for the Research Delivery Network (RDN), National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) – which recruits around 1 million participants into over 6000 studies across England each year. He is also a consultant physician and clinical researcher in Infectious Diseases at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit, North Manchester General Hospital.
He has previously been RDN Regional Network Director for NW England; Co-Clinical Director for Greater Manchester Clinical Research Network; National Clinical Lead for the UK Vaccine Innovation Pathway and the UK COVID Vaccine Research Programme; and National Speciality Lead for Infection, NIHR.

He graduated from Guy’s Hospital, London, and subsequently trained in Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, HIV and General Medicine in the London region. He undertook a PhD at UCL, London.
