Cecile González-Cerimele has spent over three decades in the pharmaceutical industry in roles spanning discovery research, new product planning, and late-phase drug development, including the COVID-19 antibody program. In her most recent role, her focus is on developing strategies for increasing awareness, education, and accessibility of clinical trials to underrepresented patient populations in the U.S. and globally. As a patient advocate, she incorporates personal experiences to ensure patient perspectives are considered from design through the implementation of clinical trials. In 2023 she received the Latino Leadership Award from Profiles in Diversity Journal. Since 2018, Cecile has been a member of the Board of the Organization of Latinos at Lilly (OLA), a Lilly employee resource group, where during her tenure she’s established multiple national and local strategic Hispanic partnerships to identify, recruit and create a pipeline of Latino talent and was awarded the 2018 OLA Leadership Award. Through external speaker engagements, she shares her culture, her passion for science and experiences as a professional Latina. Cecile is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in chemistry and holds certifications in Critical Chain and Six Sigma.
