Denise Windenburg is the current Director of Research Operations Effectiveness at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF). Before joining MHIF, she was a Research Director at the University of Minnesota Medical School overseeing the research in Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Family Medicine and Community Health. Denise has over 25 years of experience with a strategic and business-oriented approach to clinical research operations to include device, drug and behavioral health studies, research regulations and quality improvement. She has a proven track record of delivering results, developing teams, creating policy and process frameworks, fiscal responsibility, change management and implementation of e-technologies across clinical research.
Denise earned her master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and communications. She is currently on the board of the Midwest Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a member of the Society for Clinical Research Sites and SCRS.
