Fransisca (Chacha) Tenorio is a registered nurse in the Northern Territory (NT), Australia, with over 10 of experience in clinical practice, management and research. Her expertise spans governance, change management and policy development, reflecting her commitment to advancing continuous quality improvement and evidence-based care.
In 2018, Chacha transitioned to the field of research and public health, joining the Menzies School of Health Research as a Clinical Research Nurse. Later, she assumed the role of Clinical Trials Manager, overseeing national and international randomised controlled trials aimed at improving lung health, particularly among First Nations children.
In 2021, Chacha played a pivotal role at the NT Health Clinical Innovation and Research Unit, serving as a Research Governance Specialist. She supported the establishment of the NT Health Research Governance Office to ensure the implementation of appropriate governance measures. Additionally, Chacha took on the responsibility of Program Manager for the Australian Teletrial Program in the NT, a national initiative to bring clinical trials closer to rural, regional and remote communities.
Currently serving as the Nurse Management Coordinator for Policy and Strategic Projects at the NT Health Clinical Innovation and Research Unit, Chacha focuses on integrating research and clinical trials into routine healthcare practices, aiming for a self-sustaining system. Committed to her professional development, she is pursuing a Master of Public Health to further enhance her knowledge and skills in public health interventions. Chacha’s unwavering passion lies in ensuring equitable access to evidence-based care through research/clinical trials and positively contributing to healthcare delivery.
