Paula is a seasoned leader with extensive global experience in driving strategic site collaborations and clinical engagement across the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Currently working as the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Site Collaborations, PPD, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, responsible for steering strategy and transformational operational changes to ensure the success of the PPD Select Global Partnership Program. Developing and executing global strategies with targeted alliances, encompassing commercial site networks, traditional hospital providers, and non-commercial investigator/therapeutic networks, with active contributions to sponsor-specific needs including site engagement strategies, optimizing technology solutions to accelerate and deliver the right sites for the right patients.
Previously, Paula served as the Director of Global Clinical Engagement at TriNetX providing leadership, accountability, and reporting for global operational and clinical engagement activities. Paula bridged healthcare organizations and life science partners, ensuring continued value and benefit to the global network, and led academic collaborations, including > 20 publications, harnessing the TriNetX platform.

With a successful NHS career spanning over 25 years at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust/Institute of Child Health, (UCL), London, working within clinical genetics, cardiovascular disease, and anaesthesia & intensive care specialties. With the establishment of the UK NIHR in 2006, Paula was appointed as Senior Network Manager for the London & South-East Medicines for Children Research Network responsible for implementing local and national clinical studies of medicines for children.

After relocating to Southwest England, Paula continued within the NHS working as oncology clinical research lead, and latterly within the NIHR as a senior leader responsible for the NIHR Clinical Research Network industry strategy and growth across the South-West Peninsula Clinical Research Network. Paula proactively contributed to the national delivery of research within the NIHR, working with various sites and life science partners to develop, expand, and promote clinical collaborations.
