Stace Baumgarten began her career in clinical research in 2005 and, over the past 18 years, has enjoyed working for Concentrics Research, Coastal Carolina Research Center, Alcanza Clinical Research, and Clinical Research Billing. Stace has managed A/R in Clinical Conductor, RealTime, and CRIO. She has been directly involved in policy development, training, billing, collections, A/P, study builds, regulatory submissions, budget and contract negotiation, resource management, and multiple system integrations (CTMS, eRegulatory, eSource, etc.). Today, Stace works for Clinical Research Billing as the Director, Management & Reporting. She understands the unique financial, operational, and systems challenges faced by both independent research sites and larger site networks; she has seen how easily revenue can be missed or uncollected and is a strong proponent of using CTMS, eSource, eReg, and accounting systems to ensure all revenue is invoiced and collected. She is passionate about identifying and implementing best practices, creating workflows that are standardized and scalable, ensuring system integrity, and advocating for better, more efficient budget and contract terms. Stace truly loves clinical research finance and finds great satisfaction in sharing her knowledge with and learning from her peers in the research community.
