Sue-Ann is the Study Start-up and Systems Manager for the Ramsay Research and Development Network. She leads a team focused on improving and streamlining clinical trial start-up processes across more than 20 clinical trial units embedded in Ramsay Health Care facilities.
With experience spanning the full research lifecycle, Sue Ann brings practical knowledge of protocol development, funding, ethics, governance, participant recruitment, data management, and publication. She has a strong background in clinical trial operations and systems implementation, including leading the rollout of a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and developing processes now used across the Ramsay Research & Development Network. Sue-Ann’s earlier experience includes managing longitudinal patient-reported outcome studies at Pindara Private Hospital, and significant work in protocol development, ethics submissions, and data management at The University of Queensland’s School of Medicine, where she coordinated a number of n-of-1 clinical trials.
Sue-Ann holds a PhD in Palliative Care from The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Medicine, has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and presented conference papers across Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, she is passionate and deeply committed to ongoing professional development, holding certifications in Good Clinical Practice, leadership programs, and actively participates in professional organisations including the Association of Regulatory and Clinical Scientists and the Society for Clinical Research Sites.
