Carlos Ferreira is the Founder and CEO of Terráqueo SMO, an organization focused on strengthening clinical research sites across Argentina.
With more than 15 years of experience in clinical research, Carlos has built his career around site management, clinical trial operations, and the contractual and financial aspects of research. He has been involved in more than 500 clinical trials and 600 clinical trial agreements, developing particular expertise in contract and budget negotiation, site financial management, start-up, and sustainable site operations.
Through Terráqueo SMO, he currently works with a network of 25 sites and more than 100 investigators across Argentina, supporting public and private institutions and strengthening their relationships with sponsors and CROs.
His current work also focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and automation to solve real operational challenges at the site level, reduce administrative burden, and improve efficiency.
Carlos is actively involved in initiatives aimed at strengthening and professionalizing the clinical research ecosystem in Argentina, promoting greater collaboration among sites, sponsors, CROs, healthcare institutions, and other industry stakeholders.
