Gloria Carlbert is the Site Director at Bradenton Research Center (BRC), a dedicated clinical research site in Bradenton, Florida. With nearly two decades of healthcare experience and over five years in clinical research, Gloria has progressed from Clinical Research Coordinator to Site Director, leading site operations, regulatory compliance, patient recruitment strategies, staff development, and study execution across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including neuroscience, psychiatry, and central nervous system disorders.
As a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Gloria is passionate about identifying innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance and data quality. She has been an early adopter of artificial intelligence technologies within clinical research and has focused on practical, real-world applications that support study teams rather than replace them.
Bradenton Research Center was selected as a beta testing site for “Peter the Protocol Reader,” an AI-powered protocol analysis platform designed to assist research sites in navigating increasingly complex clinical trial protocols. Through hands-on implementation and daily use, Gloria and her team have integrated AI into study feasibility assessments, protocol review processes, staff training, operational planning, and risk identification. Her experience provides a unique perspective on how research sites can successfully adopt AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance protocol comprehension, reduce operational burden, and ultimately support better study conduct. Gloria is a strong advocate for responsible AI adoption in clinical research and believes the greatest value comes from using AI as a practical support tool that empowers site personnel, improves workflows, and allows research professionals to focus more time on patient care and trial execution.
