Executive Director, Mobile Research and Community Engagement Event Services

Lilly

Greg Lee is an accomplished clinical research leader with 25 years of experience spanning critical care nursing, clinical trial site operations, and community engagement strategy. In his current role as Executive Director of Mobile Research & Community Events at Eli Lilly and Company, he leads the strategy and operations behind Lilly’s mobile research units and community-based clinical trial engagement, building partnerships with community groups to expand access to and trust in clinical research. In this capacity, Greg works across Lilly’s Clinical Central Services and Innovation team to design geographic and community strategies that move beyond transactional recruitment toward lasting, trust-based relationships with the populations trials depend on.

Greg began his career as a critical care nurse, work that instilled a deep, firsthand understanding of patient trust, urgency, and the human stakes behind every clinical encounter. That grounding shaped the next two decades of his career in clinical trial site operations, where he built expertise in site management, community-based patient recruitment, and operational strategy across a range of therapeutic areas and trial phases. Across this work, Greg has led community engagement efforts including health screening events and mobile research unit deployments nationwide.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a passionate advocate for community-centered clinical research, and believes that lasting relationships — not one-time recruitment events — are what turn clinical trials into ongoing partnerships with members of communities we serve.
