Guillermo Ortiz is the Founder, President, and General Manager of Fundación Estudios Clínicos, a nonprofit organization with a network of clinical research sites across Argentina. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Austral.
An entrepreneur with experience spanning construction and healthcare, Guillermo found his professional calling in clinical research after establishing his first research site in 2012. Since then, he has focused on expanding access to clinical trials and strengthening research capabilities across the region. Under his leadership, Fundación Estudios Clínicos has conducted more than 500 studies and recruited thousands of patients.
Guillermo plays an active role in the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) as a member of its Education & Engagement Committee, LATAM Ambassador, and Chairman of the 2026 SCRS LATAM Summit. Through these roles, he supports site education, collaboration, and the representation of Latin American research sites within the global clinical research community.
Recognized for research excellence and outstanding patient recruitment, Guillermo is a frequent speaker at clinical research conferences, sharing his experience in site development, patient engagement, and leadership.
