Joan Torony – March 2026
Joan is the Cluster Manager and Business Development Manager for Regional, Rural and Remote Clinical Trials Enabling Program Northern Cluster. She provides strategic advice on how to improve health inequity through consultation and engagement with key stakeholders to facilitate and establish clinical trial in RRR locations.
With over 30 years’ experience working in health and medical research, working across Phase 1 – Phase 3 clinical trials in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine, Endocrinology, Vaccines, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Dermatology, Palliative Care and Mental Health.
Joan co-jointly established a phase 1 Unit and has held positions as research nurse, clinical trial coordinator, project and program management, clinical research operations manager and CEO positions.
Joan holds degrees in Clinical Trials Management, Human Resources Management, Business and Finance Management and Workplace Training. She is also involved on multiple advisory committees and working groups.
