Lisa La is an Early Development Project and Team Leader at Sanofi, bringing more than a decade of clinical research experience across academic centers, community hospitals, and the pharmaceutical industry. In her current role, she guides global study teams through the strategic planning and execution of early-phase clinical trials, overseeing critical functions including budget management, contract negotiations, regulatory submissions, and the design and implementation of clinical studies.
Lisa earned her PhD in Clinical Research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where her research focused on multiple myeloma. This academic foundation, combined with her hands-on industry experience, gives her a comprehensive perspective on the clinical trial lifecycle—from scientific design through operational execution.
Beyond her work at Sanofi, Lisa serves as an Adjunct Instructor at New York University, where she teaches graduate students the fundamentals of clinical trials. Through her teaching, she shares real-world insights into the challenges and opportunities inherent in clinical research, with the goal of inspiring the next generation of researchers to advance the field.
