Dr. Hardman is a clinical research professional specializing in site and investigator engagement, clinical trial patient recruitment and retention, protocol evaluation, and community engagement. She is especially passionate about encouraging communities of color to embrace and participate in clinical research.
Over more than 10 years in site engagement, she has supported studies across neurology, nephrology, immunology, and rare diseases. Her ability to build high-value relationships with investigators and site staff has strengthened site relations, advanced patient-focused site activities, and supported efficient study protocols and acceleration.
Across her 14+ year industry career, Dr. Hardman has focused on building lasting stakeholder relationships and finding common ground among science, strong partnerships, and patient needs.
Mel holds a Doctor of Public Health, specialty in Epidemiology, a Master of Public Health (MPH), and a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Research Theories and Design.
Mel resides in sunny Atlanta, Georgia. She is a military mom to a Navy son and enjoys weightlifting and performance exercise, spending time with her partner and friends, traveling, and managing her book club, “Booked and Busy.”
