Having dedicated his life to making a positive impact on others, Bob Boyd has built a distinguished career in nonprofit leadership and community service. Bob is married to Elizabeth, his loving partner of 26 years, and together they have four wonderful adult children. They reside in Suwanee, Georgia.
Bob’s professional journey began with the Boy Scouts of America, where he served in various roles: Territory Executive in Columbus, Georgia; Territory Executive, Manager, Program Director and Director of Operations in Miami, Florida, and Executive Director (Scout Executive) in Macon, Georgia. His leadership skills and passion for community service further led him to serve as the Executive Director of the Athens Area Humane Society and Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb (Georgia). Additionally, he contributed his expertise as the Director of Operations and Finance at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta.
Currently, Bob serves as the Executive Director of the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), where he oversees efforts to provide critical financial assistance to cancer patients in the Metro Atlanta area. The ACCF supports these patients in managing the overwhelming costs associated with cancer treatment and care. In 2024, the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation provided over $450,000 to 1,636 Metro Atlanta cancer patients to help with essential expenses including rent, gas, groceries and utilities.
Beyond his professional roles, he is an active member of the Duluth Rotary Club, continuously contributing to the betterment of his community.
