Dr. Aguirre is Vice President, Founder, and Global Research Director of AGA Clinical Trials, providing visionary leadership since founding in 2007. A founding architect, he has helped transform AGA into one of South Florida’s and LATAM’s leading clinical research centers, recognized for operational excellence, regulatory rigor, and innovative trial execution.
With nearly two decades of executive and investigative experience, Dr. Aguirre is respected for navigating complex clinical, regulatory, and commercial landscapes while building scalable research infrastructures for sponsors, CROs, and global partners. His leadership has driven sustained growth, strategic diversification, and long-term partnerships across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors.
Dr. Aguirre holds a rare Triple Certification as a Principal Investigator representing a minority group, a distinction achieved by only two physicians worldwide. FindATopDoc.com named him the 2022 U.S. Top Researcher. He has collaborated on more than 350 clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas and phases.
From October 2019 to August 2023, he served as Chief Medical Officer of HyperCORE International, leading global medical strategy, clinical innovation, and cross-functional collaboration while aligning scientific objectives with operational efficiency, budget stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. In January 2024, he was appointed to the GCSA Global Advisory Board, contributing strategic insight to international research standards and global collaboration.
In 2025, Dr. Aguirre was appointed to the Boehringer Ingelheim Global Diversity Scientific Advisory Board, invited to Parexel’s Site Advisory Board, and named SCRS LATAM Ambassador for Ecuador.
