Siobhán Gallagher is an accomplished clinical research leader with over two decades of experience in site operations, project management, regulatory affairs, and clinical trial strategy. In her current role as Director and U.S. Country Lead for Diversity & Inclusion in Clinical Trials at Sanofi, she leads the development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies to recruit and retain diverse patient populations representative of disease epidemiology. In this capacity, Siobhán works across Sanofi’s research, development, and corporate functions to set multi-year diversity visions, establish measurable targets, and drive meaningful culture change. She actively engages with leading industry consortia to advance and benchmark best practices globally. Siobhán represents Sanofi on SCRS’ IncluDE Board, an initiative dedicated to turning intention into impact by co-creating practical, real-world solutions with sites, sponsors, CROs, and service providers to ensure clinical trials reflect and serve all communities.
Prior to her current role, Siobhán served as Associate Director within Sanofi’s U.S. Clinical Study Unit, leading teams executing Phase I through IV clinical trials with a focus on quality, compliance, and enrollment excellence. Her earlier career includes senior leadership roles at PRA Health Sciences, Clinimetrics Research Associates, Saint Joseph’s Research Institute, and Discovery Alliance, where she built expertise in site management, regulatory affairs, patient recruitment strategy, and global trial operations.
Siobhán holds a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Troy State University. She is a passionate advocate for health equity and believes that inclusive clinical research is both a scientific imperative and a moral one.
