William Chesterfield is Associate Vice President of Investigator Engagement within Clinical Development & Operations at Eli Lilly and Company. William earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Physiology in the UK and completed postgraduate studies in Toxicology, and throughout his career at Lilly—which began in the field—he has held a multitude of leadership roles across patient engagement, clinical operations, and trial capabilities, including serving as Chief Operating Officer for CDDA. He led the implementation of EMEA Trial Capabilities, establishing the first LRL function within GBS Cork and delivering scalable, patient-centered solutions across complex organizational landscapes. His work in transformational leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration drives results that improve outcomes for patients and caregivers worldwide.
